Gareth has been with PMS for 20 years and his hands-on experience and dynamic presentation style have made him a very popular and highly respected presenter.
Prior to joining PMS, he held senior management positions in both public and private sector procurement including automotive, mining and mechanical engineering businesses.
The various posts have provided Gareth with significant experience in the procurement of capital equipment, bulk material supply contracts, consumables, services and site installation projects. These activities also included the management and development of purchasing teams and departments plus the financial, physical and safety responsibilities for the operation of stores, stockyards and workshop facilities.
With over 30 years of experience of researching, formulating and directing training courses, David is rightly regarded as one of the foremost trainers within procurement and supplies management. In addition to training in the UK, David has worked with overseas clients in Russia, Malaysia, Singapore and much of Europe. His respected expertise in the training field is built upon first hand procurement and management experience gained in purchasing and supply positions with Dunlop, BP, Ford and Portakabin.
David is degree educated, a member of the Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. He is particularly strong in the areas of negotiation skills development, capital equipment purchasing and contract law.
When not working with PMS, Bob works as a Commercial Consultant and his background is nearly 30 years in automotive and agrichemicals. Bob is particularly strong in the analytical areas of supply chain and has proven track record of annual cost reduction (PPV), supplier performance (supply and quality PPM), risk analysis, cost analysis and stock control. Bob’s procurement career started with Kent Fire Service and with a move into manufacturing took him into senior positions with Intier Automotive, Nufarm Agricultural Products and Magna UK.
